Three Online Tools Focusing on Discipleship

Today I’ll be attending some of the Right Now Conference in Dallas (serving on a panel to talk about the Right Now Media tool that is so amazing). With that in mind, I thought I would mention it along with 2 others you should check out:

  • RightNow Media (subscription required, check with your church to see if they have an account)

This online resource is essentially the “Netflix of Video Bible Studies” because you will have instant access to thousands of great videos for kids, youth, parents, married couples and more (there are over 2,000 videos from some great teachers). You can view these videos from your phone, tablet or computer. And you can also view them in a group setting through a TV or projector. RightNow Media has 3 main sections of resources for you to use: Bible Study Library (with lots of channels), Customizable Training Library, and Leadership Events Library (make sure you take a tour of all 3). Again, it is subscription based so check with your church or let them know about it if they don’t already subscribe (once a church subscribes it becomes free to all of the members). Great for personal study, small groups, or Bible Classes.

Men’s expert Kenny Luck, Men’s Pastor at Saddleback Church and Founder of Every Man Ministries has created the largest video teaching library for men and made it available for individuals, small groups, and churches. No workbooks or outlines needed. Easy opportunities for the men to discuss the sermon at any point. You can get a free trial and take it for a test run.

  • Multiply Movement (free resource from David Platt and Francis Chan designed to help you make disciples)

A simple, practical, biblical, helpful and personal tool for disciples of Jesus who want to make disciples of Jesus.  After Jesus rose from the grave, He left His followers with a simple command: “Go into all the world and make disciples” (see Matt. 28:19). The church should be known for this. If we are going to call ourselves followers of Jesus Christ, we should be making disciples. But most Christians today are not known for making disciples. We have developed a culture where a minister ministers and the rest of us sit back and enjoy “church” from a comfortable distance. This is not what God intends for His church. Every Christian is called by God to minister. You are called to make disciples. Multiply is designed as a simple resource that you can use to begin making disciples. Our prayer is that it will give you the confidence you need to step out in faith and disciple the people whom God has placed in your life.

Your turn… What are some other online resources you know of that focus on discipleship?
